Winston Park is considered to be an exceedingly safe neighbourhood, where not every house has been converted into a fort. It is located on a mountain ridge, with just one access road, which enables good monitoring. A wonderfully spacious holiday home available for rent in Durban, South Africa.
Our holiday home is located at Winston Park in Hillcrest, an upmarket suburb of Durban and is suitable for groups of 8 to 10 people. In the periods that we are not able to enjoy our house, we are pleased to offer this delightful house for rent. There is a magnificent view from the garden (ca 6,000 m2). Because of its location in the green hills above Durban, the temperature is often somewhat more pleasant than in the city itself. The large swimming pool is perfect for swimming lengths. The house itself has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, both of which have baths and separate showers. Additionally, there is a separate guest “cottage”, which has a double bed, toilet and shower, plus a small kitchenette with a cooking ring, refrigerator and freezer. The modern kitchen of the “main house” is provided with all the equipment you may need, including a king-size gas cooker/oven, a microwave/oven combination and a variety of food appliances. The washing machine and the clothes dryer are located in a separate washing and ironing room, next to the kitchen. Outdoors, there is a traditional South African braai facility and a mobile gas barbeque as well. The house has wifi internet.

Clean air
Despite the fact that Durban is a port, there is no heavy industry. The surrounding area is clean and there is an abundance of greenery. The National Geographic has designated the area around Winston Park to be one of the areas in the world with the cleanest air.
Temperature
The average maximum temperature is between 27°C (Dec-April) and 22°C (Jun-Aug). The sea water has a pleasant temperature: from December to April inclusive, this is on average 25°C and during the other months, the temperature never falls below 22°C. Therefore, Durban is a pleasant holiday destination for 12 months of the year.
